Best Corvette Guide Book For 67 vette

Hi guys, trying to finish my 67 427/400 no air, no pb or ps corvette convertible.

All I need is a few small items, ie.,

radiator cap
oil cap
fan clutch
2 groove water pump pulley
master cylinder cap

I want to use originals not GM Restoration reprodution parts.

My question is which Corvette book or manual can I buy to look at pics of original items that came on the corvette. I look On Ebay but you see 3 models of AC 15 radiator caps, H cap F cap and Stailess cap. Also seems that there alot of S oil caps out there with diferent markings.

Pete,

Your RC-15 should be similar to the "F" variety, however the rivet configuration of the repro you're looking at is not 100% correct.

Here is a picture of the one you're looking for:

And, the center rivet should be brass. It's either worn, or the pic is black and white.

Shown below is a photo of an original 1967 MC cap. Sorry for the poor phpto quality, but these are hard to photograph due to the reflective plating.

I have carefully compared the reproduction to my original, and the reproduction is pretty close, but not perfect.

Be careful buying a "replated original" on ebay, because there is one seller who seems to have an infinite supply of them, and I think what he is really selling is the reproduction.
