    1961 Correct Wiper Blade

Which is the correct NOS Blade for a '61 - Trico RB-12 or PB-12?

Are there any other telltale marks or patent numbers beyond a shiny finish?

    Thanks,
    Mike

RB12-2 is the Trico model for what was used. BUT, can't simply purchase blindly by the Trico number without understanding running changes that were made over the years and match your car with the proper version...

The earlier versions of the RB12-2 had a short release tab for the bayonet mount to the wiper arm (prior to 1961). Service replacements and those used on '61-62 cars from the factory had a longer release tab to make removal from the arm easier on the fingers.

On patents, yes there probably were running changes as Trico garnered more US Patents and picked up Canadian and British protection... BUT, nobody, to my knowledge, has made a table of the various patents, pulled copies of the patents, and sorted them by patent grant date in order to put together a very anayl time table of which patent disclosure(s) should be on what model year blades & arms. Whew...aren't we glad!
