C-3 1970 coupe Steering

While tring to parallel park with manuel steering and low tire pressure .I heard a bad squeeking sound coming from under the hood as I fought with the steering wheel.. I was turning it very hard at the time is this a sign of a steering problem down the road someday THanks in advance

When was the last time the ball joints and steering linkage was greased? Also inspect the steering box for grease level. It will not hurt to inspect the steering and suspension as well.
