Re: 1967 color change advice on a 427 roadster

Larry - Craig again......even though I suggested you may consider changing the color based on your taste and your usage.......keep in mind a few things......remember that a color change involves more work than a repaint in original color.....if done right. There are a lot of tight areas in the door jambs etc that if not stripped and done correctly (that is, yellow over maroon)..to me makes for a shoddy job....and more costly to correct later. So factor the added cost in. My personal choice would NOT be to change.......it is a matter of how strongly you want the color. Also, make sure your interior color matches for sunfire yellow too.....and remember there will be removal of dash areas to do this right as there is paint under trim areas. I have a 67 that should be silver pearl, and is marlboro maroon, and I would never have done that had I made that choice a ways back....prior owners did that. My car is a very original one too....other than two things.....color change, and sidepipes. It was done well, but nevertheless I want to put it back someday....but for now I really enjoy driving the car in it's current color and sidepipe configuration. Again, your choice......most NCRS types like us will opt for the originality......Craig
