    1967 correct master cylinder power assist. brake

    Can you tell me if a master cyl. # 5455509 with D7 on top left & DC stamped on it would be correct for my 67 power brakes?? Thank You, Don

    Don -

    Yes, it is - that master cylinder was used on all 67's, manual or power, except J56 Heavy-Duty brakes.

        I don't know if it's of concern to you, but original '67 509 master cylinders were not dated. It's very hard to see, especially if it has been painted, but on the flat area where the front line attaches will be a very small julian type date code on service replacements. It's easy not to notice the date, unless you look close, even the thickness of paint will make it hard to see.
