1967 deck lid catch

I have looked for several hours through the archives to find out if the deck lid catches on the inner rear fenders were installed prior to painting of the car. I found some postings that talked about polishing the catches, but I believe that they were sprayed body color as was the other latch hardware. My car is being painted in the next day or two and I would like to know for sure. HELP!!!!

The catches on the wheelhouse inner panels (and the stainless shields on the gutters) were installed in the Body Shop, prior to paint.
