My 63 alternator has the wrong pulley on it. I purchased the correct pulley but I can't reomve the bolt that holds the old pulley in place. Is there some secret method for removing the bolt? I spraayed it with PB blaster but it won't budge.

use a 1/2" drive impact wrench to remove the nut, then take a brass headed hammer and tap the threaded piece facing you. have the wifey ready to catch the beast.heard a good one todcay about wives. seems the fellow telling the story said he knew he'd met and married Mrs. Right. took a couple years after the marrriage to realize her first name was ALWAYS. mikie -
