70 wiper motor parts again

Posted about my 70 wiper motor, way down the board. Update: the 4916862 terminal board is going to work out fine.

My next part is 4919641,(magnet switch). I get number 4919647 in my parts book. Is the 641 an acceptable replacement?

The GM #4919641 was never catalogued as a replacement for the GM #4919647. Whether it would work, or not, I do not know. The original manet switch for 1970 applications was GM #4918730. Later 1970 and SERVICE after April, 1970 was GM #4919647. In the late 80's that was changed to GM #22048273 for SERVICE. That part is now discontinued.

The GM #4919641 switch was used for 1973-74 Corvette applications and later became GM #22048274.

With the 4919641 used after 72, I wonder if the elimination of the operating wiper door to the long hood in 73 has something to do with the part change.(or not). There must have been another change of sorts after 74.

I will compare the 4919641 with my original and post.
