Coil resistor and or capacitor C1 / C2

    Hello some electrical questions
    #1
I've noticed that a heater blower capacitor was used in the C2, on the heater blower of my C1 i'm missing that capacitor,Is the purpose of this thing to prevent noice coming over the radio?? Should a C1 have one? If yes how should it be connected?

How should one connect the coil ballast resistor on a coil of a 327 V8 1964 ?

If you look in the assembly manual, you will see where they go and how to connect them. It helped me.

      Pieter -

Don't know about later C1's, but 57's didn't have a radio noise suppression capacitor on the heater blower feed.

One end of the ballast resistor is connected to the ignition switch, and the wire from the other end of the resistor goes to the (+) terminal on the coil. There should also be another wire on the (+) coil terminal that goes to the outboard small terminal (usually marked "R") on the starter solenoid, which provides a full 12 volts to the coil when cranking.

The wire from the radio noise suppression capacitor on the coil goes under the (+) coil terminal.
