    74 ignition coil

    anyone know what numbers are embossed on a 74 small block ignition coil? judging manual only says BR but i believe there a number embossed on it also.

      The Spec Guide sez 1115270 for SB's, 1115287 for BB's.

          would that mean that a 270 would be the big number embossed on the side of the coil?

                  Yes, should read either "BR 270" or "BR-270". Both sequences have been observed and I don't think we understand why some coils have the "-" sequence and others don't...

                      thanks jack. i dont mean to seen dense but it took me awhile to figure out the last 3 digits of the part number is whats embossed on the coil.
