Joe has provided the correct information (except I have never seen a 1970 with 1111493 distributor - but that is not the question you asked) however another clue to you should have been the date on the distributor band. My guess is that it likely was a 1969 date. That alone would rule out its original use on your 1971 Corvette. Take a look at the whole band, including the date.
It might have a better curve for your car than the 1971 distributor, but you didn't ask that question either.
