    Posi traction decal location ???

I am getting my 67 ready for flight judging, and need to know where on the jack board the posi decal goes ? top left? top right ? bottom left ? bottom right ?

    any help would be appreciated

Re: Posi traction decal location ???

    Ron -

As noted in the '67 JG, the Posi and jacking instruction stickers are typically located one above the other on the driver's side of the board.

      67 Original Board

      Ron,

Here's a picture of my original board.

The tattered labels are sealed over in plastic in their original positions. Guess I'll get something off for condition. Not sure, but the Jack Instructions might be upside down. How does it compare to yours or others?

The only addition is the second carpet tag. I found this one under the carpets when I replaced them. Not knowing what to do with it I put it on the board.

        Re: 67 Original Board

my jacking instructions and posi label are reversed from yours. The JG says many postion combinations existed. So I am assuming if you have them all, you will get full credit, regardless of position.

Here is a photo of my 67 jack board and some photos of the original labels.
They were recently judged at a regional to be correct but "tattered"

The repro labels are easily identified due to different script.
Look at these closely, and you'll see the differences.

              Have fun!!!

Perspective - Late '63 Jack Board

Not that this will impact a '67, but I'm sure others are curious and probably a little confused by all this. Here's my original late '63 jack cover. Note that the labels are positioned a little different than Steve's, but they are also upside down from Steve's. Mine have a thick layer of yellowed glue slathered all around the borders of each label. I believe that these were originally just pieces of plain paper glued to a board, NOT the self-adhesive labels seen with repros nowadays. And my jacking instructions are unlike anything currently re-produced - even has a different date. I'm actually in the process of trying to recreate my original instructions in an image editor so that I can glue an accurate late '63 label onto my board.

Like those original speaker holes? Sigh. Yeah, me too.

                Pete

                  Speaker Holes

                  Pete,

Here's one I bought on ebay for the new carpet that was on it for my 67:

From the date on the Jack board instructions, it's from a 65. The speaker holes were nicely patched with copper sheet.

It's amazing what we used to do as kids, when we weren't in the restoration mode. Anybody want this jack board less the carpet, I'm probably going to trash it.

                      My Shop Shoes

My wife won't let me in the house with them on. Had to sneak down the basement to take the photo. I'll bet Steve doesn't wear his fuzzies in the shop.
