    C1 trunk mat

Ok, I've searched the archives and Nolan Adams book, but can't get an answer. My '58 came with the proper red trunk mat, with the proper embossed part # 3723710, but it has a "56" in the upper left, which makes me think it's for a 1956, and a circle with what appears to be the letters "RC" in a triangle in the upper right. 1) did the '56 have the same mat part number as the '58, and 2) did the '56 have an "RC" in the upper right? As usual, thanks very much in advance.

    Re: C1 trunk mat

    Steve,

Some 1956 Corvettes used 3723710 trunk mats that were manufactured by U.S. Royal Rubber Co. and they have a "US" logo in a circle. I'm not aware of any 3723710 red trunk mats with "RC" logo.

Thanks for the help John--I'll try to post a photo of the logo to see if anyone can ID it. This mat does not have the "US" logo on it. It actually has a "GM" preceeding the 3723710. Pictures will probably make everything easier to understand.
