Had my low mile 1979 L48 judged in St Louis last weekend, All went well but the Quadrajet carb. has the part number written on a piece of metal tape stuck onto the boss where it would normally be stamped in. Under the tape there are no part numbers stamped into the boss. All owners state the carb is original. Has anyone else seen this. Of course this is atypical so I would like to hear from anyone that has an original car with the same configuration. Thanks
