Concerning the rubber seal or gasket that goes on both ends of the baseplate on a 63 fuel car. I notice that we have available two variations of this seal. One has "GM" on the tab in rather large letters and the other has "GM" in rather small letters. Does anyone care? I see the judges reaching around the back of the base plate and feeling for the tab then they go to the front and look at the tab to check for the logo. Also the long intake to head gaskets with the camel hump. I heard that the assembly line gaskets had a flat spot on top of the hump and the over the counter gaskets did not. The logic was that if you had a warranty claim Chevrolet knew if the engine was taken apart before if they spotted different gaskets without the flat spot. Ever hear of this info?
