I agree it does come down how you conduct yourself in both small and big things. The ol saying can't be trusted in small things .... My old 58 dual 270HP car morphed into a 230HP car. Recieved Duntov back in early 90's. But that went Backward. Go figure. Then if you gonna spend beauocoup bucks I'd check to to see what it was in the first place. Maybe when the correction comes in the marketplace (like the early 90's) The speculators and scam artists will turn away from Vettes and Muscle. I'm still waiting for Wayne Campbell's 1976 Pacer to be offered up for auction. Who knows they may make a clone.

Re: The Right to Fleece Others Without Interferenc

Today UPS dropped off a package containing a "NOS" metal stop light switch for '63. The ad said NOS and showed a pic of the Delco box with a black NOS switch beside it. Well I received a silver repro and no box. No Delco Remy Logo nothing correct and I paid big bucks. Well I emailed the well known seller from IL. to tell him the "NOS" switch was either a repro or NOSR. You don't see NOSR much. Hemmings introduced that term an eon ago. I believe it means new old stock replacement. The repro'63 switch is sitting in from my screen besides a broken original. Now let me tell you about an honest ebay man. Bob Jorjorian had a stop lite switch listed a few weeks ago and I won the bid and Bob sent me a note saying, "John do you know the switch is a new repro and not correct for your car". Now that's an honest person unlike others who pull the shell game of switch. Put the NOS in the photo on ebay and then send a repro. Thanks for being my honest friend Jerry. I bid on your shock washers. Thanks, John D.

You can't beat Carlisle what you see is what you get. I got took on condition of parts both on E-Bay and the Driveline. I think the sellers on line will help the attendance at places like Carlisle by their actions.

One of my "favorite" eBay scams is

the people who offer to tell you what your security code for your Explorer anti theft system is. Lotta these truck have a keypad, and typically the dealer has no record of the code, so people wind up not being able to use the keypad. For only $15, these folks will tell you. What they'll tell you is what any Ford dealer will do for free: In the LR fender, forward of the jack, is the security control box. The key code is printed the box in large numbers.

There is a fellow in Detriot selling NOS cross flags, etc. on E-bay. I was dumb enough to buy one only to find out he is selling reproductions. It amazes me that he is still selling them.
