ashamed to ask this question but i've been going thru the parts books and shop manuals for an hour now and i'll be durned if i can find the location of the coolant temp sensor on a LT5 engine. hookin it up to the temp gauge and ole Willy will closer to completion. thanks guys, mike

I've got bad news for you. The LT5 engine coolant sensors are located UNDER the intake plenum. So, the plenum has to be removed to access them. There are TWO sensors-----one is for the dash gauge reading and the other is for the ECM.
The sensors are side-by-side; the ECM sensor is the forwardmost and the gauge sensor is behind it.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Somehow or another, I came to be aware of this some time ago, probably via discussion with someone. However, I was able to confirm my recollection by referring to section 6E3-C1 (VIN J) of the 1992 Corvette Service Manual.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
