I am restoring a '73 and needed some information about the front grills. Were these grills originally metal? Are they gloss black or flat black? Are all the fins and the outer edges supposed to be chromed, or silver painted? Is it only the outer edges that get the chrome/silver paint? Are the plastic replacements correct, or a acceptable replacement by NCRS? Thanks for the help.

Original 73 grills the front edge was chromed and the inside was semi flat black. The plastic replacements will get deductions for what the judge feels is different than a metal grill up to a 100% deduction. I have E-Mailed you about this part and where you can buy them restored with new chrome in excange for your cores.
