    As long as the leaves are not seriously corroded, there's no reason why it can't be rebuilt with new liners. Rearching is "iffy" at best as there are no available specs, so it's a matter of pure guesswork, but it's really not necessary.

    Rear sag is usually caused by compression of the rubber spring link cushions - has has nothing to do with the spring itself.

    An initial corrosion assessment can be made my inspecting the visible surfaces of the spring, but a final determination has to wait until its disassembled so he interior surfaces can be inspected.
