    1968 L-71 alternator/battery problem

I got a chance to look at my electrical problem this weekend and found the red wire coming from the engine compartment wire harness was not attached to the horn relay, but was just taped up and tucked in with the harness going up to the headlights. So I hooked this to the horn relay and now I see charge going into the battery, where before I did not. Now I see 13 v at idle (900 rpm) and 15 v above 1200rpm. So hopefully that solved the problem.

One other electrical problem I have is all my signals and brake lights work good, however once I turn on the headlights the passenger side headlight does not come on rather the turn signal lights up. I checked the ground for the headlight harness and cleaned it but it did not help. This was a problem before so it is not new with the charging problem. Any ideas?

    Thanks for the help,

    Josh
