    mid year weather strips

I am looking at the weatherstrips on a 64 as they are repros and cause the doors to puff out and close hard as well as the deck lid. They were on the car for 2 weeks and no better. In fact the deck lid in the center sticks up about 3/8 inch. They apear to be too hard a durometer. Doors and deck lid fits without rubber w/s fit nice. So my question is who and what is available that would be closer to the actual original w/s? These w/s came along seperate with the car so I don't know their origin. Deck lid w/s says Made in Canada.

w/s available from GM in the 60's, 70's and 80's typically too big OD and not as soft as originals. last midyear i did, i got the rubbers from Jay Price and had no problem with panel fit. suspect you have the old GM re-issues. mike

          Mike,
Thanks, that's exactly what they are based on the packaging. I'll get the pieces from Jay

Is there an email address I could use to contact Jay Price? I live in Australia and need the w/s kit also.

            Thanks in advance.

            Bud.
