1961 fuses

Hi, my interior lights consolelights and dashlights,brake lights do not work,I was told check the fuses but the wire bar is intact on both fuses can they be bad and still look ok? Thanks Ron

Yes, it's possible for a fuse to blow or the filament to fatigue fracture just inside the cap so the glass area looks good. BW to test is to remove the fuse and ohm it out OR put a test light on both ends to confirm power is present and moving across the fuse...

If it is not the fuses what else could it be all the lights went out at the same time?

Check the fuseblock with the fuse out to see if you have power to the fuseblock. You can use a test light or a voltmeter, just verify that one side of the fuse has power to it. Then you will know if your problem is feed to the fuse, or power to the vairious switches involved. Just to double-check, with the fuse in, both sides shoul show power to ground.
