I'm interested in obtaining a reproduction window sticker for my '74 Coupe. Although I have the car's build sheet, I'm unable to decifer any pertinent information from it. After tracing through the car's ownership history, I've confirmed all of the original options. I've exchanged correspondences with Triple A Enterprises for an understanding on how a couple of the items would be listed on their reproduction window sticker. Their reply appears to conflict with spec information from an original GM brochure. TAE says that the 3.08 axle ratio would show as an option, and, if the Heavy Duty Battery option was checked off on their order form, it would show on the window sticker with it's associated $15 cost. The GM brochure shows the 3.08 axle ratio to be standard (combination of air conditioning and the 2.52:1 M21 transmission), and the Heavy Duty Battery to also be standard with the Turbo- Jet engine. If anyone is out there with a similarly equipped car, I'd be very interested in obtaining a copy of either an original build sheet and/or window sticker. I'd also be interested in having any on board, or off line discussions, regarding this post. My car is equipped as follows; 1974 Corvette Coupe, LS4, 4-speed M21, Deluxe Interior, Power Windows, Air Conditioning, Gymkanna Suspension, Power Brakes, Rear Defroster, WSW Tires, Stereo Radio, Heavy Duty Battery. Thanks.

I would not expect to see the HD battery listed on the window sticker for a A/C car that it is included in the A/C package price.
I would not expect to see the 3.08 axle ratio as it standard no cost.
This is what I have seen on original paper work but I have not seen all the window stickers made in 74.
Also do you have the Gymkanna Suspension or just the rear sway bar included on all 454's?

I'm curious about your Gymkhana...can you make out the FE7 on the build sheet? FE7 is nearly identical to the 1974 Z07 off road suspension with the exception of shocks from what I can make out. Same part numbers are listed for sway bars, and springs, front and rear.Tom Russo

Lyle,
Based on one of the replies I received, I'm not sure if I have the Gymhanna Suspension option or the Z07 Off-Road?

Re: Build Sheet and Window Sticker for '74
Tom,
There are only 4 groups of numbers/letters that are visible on this build sheet and they are located about 1.5" down from the top and maybe 4" in from the right. Everything else on the sheet is bleached out with various black, moldy spots. It's attested by a Master Judge to be the original build sheet, who recovered it from the tank while assisting with the restoration. It doesn't appear to be of much value in its present condition.
Thanks,

Re: Build Sheet and Window Sticker for '74
With all of the various bits of new information, I've figured out the options in question. Gymhanna Suspension, M20 4-speed which is commensurate with the 3.08 rear being Standard with an air conditioning car, and the Heavy Duty Battery being Standard with costs being included in the Air Conditioning package. The only question remaining, is how would the Heavy Duty Battery in this case show on the Window Sticker? Would it be listed with no charge or .00 ? TAE indicated that if it was checked off, the $15.00 cost would show...? Thanks everyone, I appreciate the help.- Top

I don't think the battery would be listed on a car with the A/C option. With no A/C the battery would be an option be listed and the $15. cost. On the build sheet, tank sticker, the information needed to build the car as ordered would be their.

Re: The Build Sheet
I have a few copies of build sheets for 74 and also 73 and 75. If battery was included, either as option or base, the broadcast was printed in box 47 and the few I have show either R89S or 0205. R89S is called out when the text in the main body does not list the UA1 RPO for HD battery. When HD battery is called out with UA1...the 0205 code appears in box 47.
One build sheet I have includes window sticker and the HD Battery is listed with a cost of $15.00. This a non a/c model which confirms whats been stated above.
Also, box 47 was first used in 74 and not used in 73.
I have a 73 build sheet with LS4 and M21...a T60 HD battery is listed. In 75, box 47 shows a broadcast code R89WP called out for the UA1 RPO HD battery. Those familiar with battery part numbers will note that the part numbers were used at times as the broadcast code.
I don't think this gets to what you're looking for but does show how two documents are need at times to ensure the accuracy of reproduction documents.Tom Russo

Re: Build Sheet and Window Sticker for '74
Lyle,
To be reflect how the Window Sticker for my car would be most accurately reproduced, I interpret that your information is telling me that I would not check off the UA1 Heavy Duty Battery as an option. Question is, which may be for TAE, will Heavy Duty Battery show up anywhere on the Window Sticker? I'll followup with them this weekend.
Thanks,
