At the beginnings of NCRS which I was there. Receiving a Judging award really dint mean much to most people it was comparing Corvettes and meeting other people that had the same interest in Corvettes. That feeling has always been in my thoughts. Most people that know me know I don't care much about awards or a top flight, At the 05 National the people judging my 55 will tell you I never questioned them or even stayed around , I told them my 55 had many accessories and that we drove it here just to show our Corvette to others, and not worry about deducting points for this or that . The judges which I' v all known for many years mostly old farts been around for ever new it dint matter to me weather I got any type of award while I judged the exterior of all the other 55's I'm not a critical Q-tip type person and if any one here I did judged should tell you that, I only found out in the mail that I did get a top flight WOW! We left that night not going to the dinner awards.
Few NCRS older members ever inter their Corvettes for the same reason and few NCRS member as a whole do. Yes we all like our Corvette to be recognized as a nice original vett. And receiving a award is also nice. Meeting new and old friends while looking at Corvettes is my award.
So I have little to say about the judging standers but also know that some use the top flight award to better sell their Corvette.
