    Yep, "Passenger" car would have been my guess also.

      Wouldn't think the P would be "Passenger"

      The load rating on the decal is unique to the Corvette. 2 passengers plus 150# 450# total. One wouldn't expect to see the same decal on a five passenger Chevy vehicle.

      Maybe it is for the Passenger Division, if there was such.

      Maybe it is for Pressure.

      Just guessing.

        There wasn't a "Passenger Division" per se, but lots of our internal records and data would differentiate passenger car versus truck for specification reasons. Labels,such as the one in question, probably used the same or similar basic format and would very in the data shown on them for different vehicle lines. And they probably put a T or P in the bow tie so it was easier for the assembly line worker identify them at a glance.
