    65 Carpet

Can anybody provide me with the procedure for cutting the carpet around the seat frames?. Does the jute pad have to slit also or do yoy just cut a channel thru the material to let the seat sit on the floor. My car came with new carpet installed and the seats sit on the carpet. The seat frames have left a good impression in the carpet so I almost have a pattern to follow but I am not quite sure what the cuts should be

The carpet should be cut in the form of a rectangle on three sides. The flap is then lifted up and placed over the bolt and the front of the frame where it goes through the floor. A daub of yellow contact cement to hold it down.
