Re: And here's what an original wheel looks like.

What would be neat to see is a photo of all three wheels side by side to show the actual difference in the vanes. By that I mean an original, an older repo and the new Chinese model.

Re: Are the new repos stamped Western Wheel?

They are stamped "Corvette America" and "Made in China".

        Rick,

Well, I can't help with the Chinese repro, but here is an original next to an older Western Wheel repro. The Repro is on the left and the original is on the right. Even these older repros are just not like originals. Hope that helps.

          Patrick -

The CA folks didn't know enough to follow the job, either - when the Chinese wheel in my photo showed up at Jerry's shop and I called CA to complain about it, they hadn't even seen their first sample from China, and their VP said "none have been made yet" . What's worse is they haven't taken any steps to correct the wheels.

They probably don't even understand what it takes to correct the problem.

Then again, it's been this way with many of the interior products they make IN HOUSE so why should we be surprised that they mess up this much when outsourcing???
