Re: Cashmere? Ebony??? What the....?
Hey, Mark, yer living in the "enlightened" period now...Lots of women working at GM these days. Once they were picking the color of your drapes...now they're making sure we male apes don't make bad color choices on our 400HP/400FTLB sports cars. I think the General would like to sell more Corvettes to women. Plus, at C6 price levels, I think they feel buyers want something "fancy" for their money.
Yeah...Forget "Cashmere"...How about a nice dark "Saddle"...Something that molds itself to yer butt when you "mount up", and looks naturally good forever with no maintenance. (I think Clem has a "cashmere"; he'll probably be throwing rocks at us soon. )
They used "ebony" instead of black because it's actually a very dark charcoal gray; the carpet is like a dark "graphite" (from the C4s), and the leather looks black, but it's not a deep jet black. Some guys order black Lloyd's floor mats; then they discover that their interior is NOT black.
