    AC radiator cap

I just found a decent looking RC-6 AC radiator cap in my "junk box" today. Does anyone have any idea what it was originally used on.......Corvette, Chevy, truck? Thanks in advance for your help.

Literally, THOUSANDS of applications from 1958 to 1988. As far as Corvettes go, it was used for 1958-59 Corvettes with FI. LOTS of Ford and Mopar applications, too.

The AC RC-6 cap, aka GM #850800 and GM #3852236, is a 13 lb pressure cap. It's still available from GM under the 850800 part number and from Delco dealers under the RC-6 part number. Of course, the shell configuration is not the same as original caps. The current version, which has been around for the last 30 years, or so, uses the stainless steel shell and small "ears".
