    National Convention Application Requirements

I'm a new NCRS member, have recently purchased a very original 66 convertible that has not been flight judged. I see in the latest Driveline that applications for the July 2007 convention can be post marked no earlier than Feb 9, 2007. I also understand I need to be flight judged before being able to be judged at the National convention.

Question: Does the National Convention application process require for an application to be accepted that it must already have a flight judging under its belt? Or can I send in my application (hope it gets accepted) and take of my flight judging between now and the July event?

    National Application

Register your car now for the Chapter Flight Judging and put a note in with the National application that you will have had it flight judged prior to the National. See you there. Good Luck

I like the idea you are ready to jump into the judging in the fast lane. You should start by getting the 66 TI&JG and the Corvette Judging Reference Manual. Then have you 66 judged at a chapter and a regional. Most Corvettes flight judged at the national are trying to complete the requirements for the Duntov award. Your 66 could be judged at a National with only a chapter judging if their is room in the class as only eight are judged per day and their may only be one day of flight judging for 66's.They may judge two days others will know what they did last year.

        Re: National Convention Application Requirements

Thank you for your prompt responses Brian and Lyle! I do have TI/Judging Guide, the Judging Reference Manual, and a blank set of scoring sheets for a '66, so I'll soon know better when to focus my winter project efforts.

I now understand the application process and will get my car chapter judged prior to July.

Get a 3rd Flight or Better as soon as you can

to qualify for the Convention. List of 66 & 67 for the Convention is usually full and with a waiting list. So send in early and get the 3rd Flight or better as soon as you can. Gary....
