Has anyone experienced very slow searches and next page commands on the new parts listings? I have left messages and they assure that there is no problem and the fault must be at my end. They have blamed 1.old browser(ie 5.0) 2.Old machine(300 Mhz) 3.Slow connection(cable modem). Searches quite often take more than a minute and next page takes 40 - 50 seconds. Just curious if the problem is really mine or if the rest of you have the same problem. Thanks, John Mc Graw

Re: Ebay Motors
I have the same problem and pretty much the same hardware. I typically stop the current activity and do a refresh. It appears to work fine after that. I thought for awhile it was just me, but I figured out after the refresh it was related to the network or software.
Ebay may be correct in saying it's not them. It could be a network provider somewhere up the line that is bottlenecking the traffic.

Re: Ebay Motors
I'm supprised that where you sit isn't smoking as well after screwing around with EBay. I've met some pretty nasty vendors that think NORS means Nasty Oxidized Rusted S#*%! Some have taken my money and not sent the parts! One guy won't answer e-mail for TWO months!
Varooom!

Re: Ebay Motors
Dale, It's that search for the part that we hope everyone has overlooked that keeps us coming back. Never buy a part that doesn't have a picture, never buy from someone that has any negative feedback, and most important never base your bid on a description. I allways bid as if the part is less than described and that way am seldom disapointed. It is also a good place to form relationships with sellers which can prove valuable in the future. Re: Ebay Motors
A vendor named Dstrait took $780 of my money and 31 other people. E Bay refused to remove him until I organized ALL the bidders who were stiffed on four Dutch auctions, ( all digital cameras ), petitioned the California State Attorney Generals office and the Sheriffs dept. in his county. It took three months of letter writing but EVERYONE got their money back, E Bay finally removed him, and one of the residents in his area says he is in the slammer for repeating this trick under a different user name. He left me negative feedback saying I sent "threatening E mails"
