Re: Super Rare
It's also missing the owner pin I think and I've seen this patch by itself, could be an older version though. This one does look more like a letterman type patch. I've seen the pin and card but never the letter and booklet.

Re: Super Rare
That is a 1967 "only" owners kit and definately an unusual collectable. From my experience the owners pins stopped in 1966. I'm not 100% sure that the 1967 kits came with a patch but definately had a Blue folder, plastic ID card, thank you letter and a Corvette News. I've been trying to determine that fact and have been unable to do so. Any original 1967 owners out there.????- Top

Re: Super Rare
Yes, '67 Owner's kits are extremely rare. I sold one about three years ago that also included the pin and patch for quite a bit more than this one here. The pins and patches pop up occasionally but the '67 folder and letter almost never do. Jim Weeks - Member #2978- Top

Re: Super Rare
Dave, The 1967 did come with an owner's pin. I know that because when speaking to the original owner of my 67, he agreed to send me all the information he had on his car, but he stated that he wanted to keep the pin from the owner's pack.1967 L71 Silver/Black Coupe - Unrestored/Original Paint, Top Flight at 1998 Regional in Ontario, not judged since

Re: Super Rare
Dave, Sorry, but I have to disagree with it being a "1967 only" kit. I received the exact same kit for an late April/1966 delivered 1966 Corvette. I mailed the card in early May/1966 and received the kit in mid to late June/1966. So, I would expect most 1966 Corvette's, that were dealer delivered, from at least that time period on, or if the card was mailed in later in the year, to have also received the same owner kit. I don't know exactly when the owner kit was changed to the so called "1967 kit", but it had to be before that time period. FWIW. Dave- Top

Re: Super Rare
The only article I've seen on this topic was in the Restorer in 1986 (Volume 12 Number 4). It was written by Alan Severson and discussed the owner's kits from 1957 until they were discontinued in 1973. The booklet "welcome to the Corvette Set" was exclusive to 1967 with a convertible on its cover with bolt-on wheels.- Top
