Is the outline and word "Chevrolet" on the bowtie on the button of the seat belt buckle white or chrome?

It's chrome on, I think, potmetal. The blue painting is done by painting the whole bowtie, the gently rubbing the paint off on the raised outline and letters with a wood or plastic straight edge.

Re: 67 seat belt buckle
I found that a 50-50 mixture of Royal Blue and Denim Blue was just the right color for me. Spray the paint in a little jar until you get the color right.
Then with a fine brush flood the bowtie on a horizontal surface, let it dry and then rub off the paint from the lettering and outline.
Of course you need to remove insert from the buckle to do it right and do the black background first by masking the bowtie and spraying. Then reverse mask the bowtie to prevent slopover on the background when you do the bowtie.
It is pretty tedious work and you need a steady hand. Practice makes perfect
