    Earliest Frame Off Restoration

Of members involved in this hobby...who has performed a frame off restoration dating back into the 70's or earlier as a means to restore a Corvette?

I myself date back to the fall of 1975 on a 1964 convertible , but I was wondering when the hobby of frame offs really started? I also noticed that was the founding year of NCRS...

    Can you share your story?

My first was a '61 back in 1969, done when I lived in Flint, Michigan; it's been done again, about five years ago, and is in Colorado; the current owner tracked me down through an ST-12 I left in the trunk when I sold it that I had written my name in. It went through several owners between me and the current owner, and all of them left the ST-12 in the trunk

Dino...I started my '63 SWC in '76 And "GUESS WHAT" It still ain't done. Too many other projects on my stump farm. 4 or 5 years ago I finally got it painted (Original Sebring Silver). If I don't stop this farm nonsense I'll never get it done, not mention my '57 Chev, '59 Tbird, '66 Caprice, etc, etc,,,,
