I have always heard that a "Broadcast Sheet" was associated with each 62 at the beginning of assembly. This sheet would have to have gone to each of the starting points for each major assembly. The sheet called for equipment, colors and options. It was a description of what the finished Corvette was to be. These Broadcast Sheets were numbered 1 to 500, and then 1 to 500 again , etc. The Sheet number was written in grease crayon on several parts of the car. Behind passenger seat in 61-62, on passenger door, front crossmember, etc. The Broadcast sheet/sheets were NOT delivered with the car unfortunately.
