License plates

Hi All

This is a Non corvette question. In 1941 for New York State did they use
1 or 2 License plates for cars. I have 1 original 1941 plate I want to use on my 1941 Willys. But i'm not sure how many plates were used.

According to my records, 1941 NY plates were issued in pairs. Singles were issued from 1942 through 1947.
