C2 FI Intake Gasket Bump square or round?

Back on Mar 5, 2007 I asked about some old intake gaskets and Joe Lucia believed that the 3772384 Victor gasket may be the best for my 64 since the felpro did not provide gaskets at that time. Joe also felt that Detroit Gasket may be the correct one!

All three gaskets have a round tab that shows, however I understand that the judges are looking for a square tab -- so just cut?

Once cut the round tab is gone forever. What should I do, install and keep the others with me in the GM box to show the tab was really round?
    OR ? ?

    Thanks
    Alan

I think the round tab is correct.

Mike thanks I've been out of touch for years starting SACC , first time back was in 05 when I started showing my 55 , NCRS and I dint get along to well then. Just now trying to understand this new judging thing and the money drive. I'm afraid I'm still a hobbyist at heart and love driving Corvettes and not all this argument about paint over spray and seeing mostly trailer queens.

"we've been checking the intake to head gasket "bumps" and GM logo on the ends rubber seal horizontal protrusions"

That's my problem of driving a Corvette for fun of it! I suppose I'll never fit in again!
