    69 Instrument Panel Question

I pulled the instrument panel to change out the clock and radio. As I put things back together I realized I did not take enough reference pictures.

    I have one question:

There is a transistor screwed to the back of the panel with one lead wire, black, which at the end has a flat U shape copper looking clip on it. What is this, what does it do amd does it clip over the copper oil line that feeds the oil pressure guage.

    Re: 69 Instrument Panel Question

Are you sure it's a transistor you're talking about (I think not...). Transistors typically have three leads although some packaging alternatives reduce the count to two with the case of the transistor serving as the third terminal.

Radio equipped cars have quite a few capacitors tacked here/there to hush up system electical noise at its souce. These are identified and documented in the U69, radio option section of your copy of the AIM book...
