    59 door post weatherstrip

I have a Nov 59 with door posts that do not have holes drilled for the clips. My research has mixed results and I am currently struggling to get the weatherstrip to fit. Paragon indicated that this was an early 59 and set me weatherstrip for a 58. I have both versions, the 58 with no window stop and the reproduction with the molded stop, but none realy fit.

My question is did all 59 have holes tapped in the door posts. The old weatherstrip is destroyed and probably was changed a few times. I don't want to drill un-necesary holes.

Any help would be appreciated. References check so far, Noland Adams restroation guide and my Assembly manual along with diagrams from various aftermarket suppliers.

    Thanks

    Pat,
My March 59(5504) car has the holes for the clips. Much later than yours, sorry.
