Does anyone know the application,for exhaust tip GM part number 496346 GR number 3.705. Can't find any listing in the GM parts books.

GM #496346 was a SERVICE replacement exhaust tip for 68-69 Corvettes which replaced original 1969 PRODUCTION and SERVICE tip GM #3952742 in February, 1980. (note: the 3952742 tip earlier replaced the 1968 tip, GM #3921607, for 1968 SERVICE).
The GM #496346 was also a SERVICE replacement for GM #550730 which had been originally used for some Oldsmobile and Pontiac models. I don't know which years or models, though.
GM #496346 was discontinued without supercession in February, 1993.
The GM #496346 is similar to the original GM #3952742 but it's rather easily discerned.In Appreciation of John Hinckley
