1966 seat belt question

According to archives late 66 buckle change was around ser # 16000.

Steve. Both types were mixed, around the beginning on March/1966, the 16000 serial number range. Dave

Thank you. My car is early January, and I've seen cars within 1000 of my serial # with the later buckles, so I assumed I was close to the cut-off. By the way mine has the 1965 style buckle. Thanks! Steve

I checked the 66 TIM&JG. It says first design (bowtie emblem) was used to appox vin 14000. The second design (push button release with CHEVROLET ) starts around 16200. Either design may occur in the 14000 to 16200 range.

My Feb 8 (1133xx) roadster has the first design. February 66 final vin is 115283 according to NCRS spec guide.
