i have a pic of dick driving my 57 283 hp vette on the Jefferson circuit at Summit Point, W VA in the early 90's(it was an ncrs chapter meet we invited him to----not a competition event). anyway, i probably wouldn't have let him drive it competativly--he was up in years at that point. hear he's been dealing with health issues of late but tickled to death to hear he's well enough to leave florida for VIR celebration.mike

He's a True Gentleman!!!!!

I became well-acquainted with Dr. Dick Thompson during my 22-year ownership of the Gulf Oil 62 with which he won national A-production in 1962. He and his wife are some of the kindest, nicest, most down-to-earth and unpretentious people that I have been fortunate enough to spend time with.
