Coming back from the Vegas Regional a few weeks ago, my tach was getting a little hairy above 3000, and I swore I'd change the cable and housing when I got home. Figured I'd get a good lub for the repro cable/housing I had at home, and found this stuff at the NAPA store.
So today I figured I'd change the cable and set aside the time. So I thought, let's try this stuff with the old cable and housing first. 5 minutes later my tach was smooth as ever. Had nothing else to do but trim the trees in the yard. Darn!
The stuff is like Vaseline or KY jelly, but with silicone in it. Also works great on the vent window weatherstipping. Don't you guys get any ideas about more personal uses.
Still having fun,
Jerry Fuccillo
