I've acquired a 1969 Corvette that over the years had every emblem pulled off and glassed over. The individual rear CORVETTE letters appear as though they may be the hardest to access and install. I've got access to a nice original car for correct placement, but it seems as if it is still a bit of a challenge to drill and line up these letters. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best way to install these?

Re: Emblem Installation
Check out the backside of the fiberglass for original location of the holes for the CORVETTE lettering. Remove your spare tire carrier for easier access and prep the area to identify only the original factory made holes and use a small drill bit to begin making holes, check with the letters for each location and then enlarge for only a slip fit. If the owner will allow it, remove the lettering from the other Corvette you mentioned. Cut a piece of light cardboard, say like from a ceral box in a retangular form close to the height and length of the lettering. Using professional masking tape from a body shop supply store that lifts easily, tape the cardboard to the car and from the backside but also supporting the cardboard to the car, carefully put holes in the cardboard tempplate and them use this to make holes in your car.- Top
