    64 cluster in a 63

Just looked at a late 63 convertible with 64 guages. I always read that these were used in late 63's. My question is, did they just use the 64 cluster with 63 guages, or did they actually use 64 guages as well. The manual isn't real clear to me on this. I hope this hasn't been beaten to death as I ran a search and couldn't find the answer. Thanks in advance.

Tom, as I recall, the 64 cluster face was used with 63 gauges, with a special black bezel. There were plenty of gauges left over but not enough 63 cluster faces.
