65 front turn signal problem solved

Finally after about 3+ years, I applied power to my 65 last night. Started checking brake lites, dash lites,etc.. When I got to the turn signal lites, my front right turn signal lite was dim but flashing. The right turn signal lite on the dash would stay on when not used. This lite would blink on and off as normal when switched on. Well, now tonight I started by checking this right turn signal lite for a healthy ground. The ground from the harness was fine. To make a long story short, the ground wire in the fixture had pulled out of its Poorly crimped connector. What a b++++. These front turn signal lites are a Trim Part I ordered probably 2 years ago. I pulled back the rubber sleeve out and away far enough (1/4") to reinsert the wire into its lug and soldered her in. All works fine now. I hope this helps someone else out someday. I have thought I should contact Trim Parts and voice my recommendation of soldering this wire in place. Dick Gutman
