      THANKS EVERYBODY

Lotsa wisdom out there on BOTH sides of the fence. I just get SO pissed at people who take themselves and this hobby too seriously. I can see clearly the conservative side as well and I DO need to put the brakes on a little. We ALL have a lot to be proud of with NCRS. Collectively it's an organization that can't be beat. NCRS and Corvettes are my WHOLE existance. That's all I do 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I am EXTREMELY proud to be a member and judge. We do however need for the NCRS to be fun. Fifteen years ago it was indeed lots of FUN. Much more clowning around. I remember blowing the doors off the NCRS road tour to Reno on Rte. 66 in Arizona. I was racing Carey Faber with a water faucet stuck on my forehead. Ole 1962 driver sported four webber carburetors then!

The most VALUABLE asset in my life is the friendship of you guys. THANKS! The cars themselves are second fiddles.

      Dale.

        Re: REBUKED!

Oh no! Don't tell me it's starting here as well. I cannot for the life of me fathom how people can be so thin-skinned. Dale, keep up the good work and keep up the humor. If some people's self esteem is fractured and they start throwing hissy fits, they should go sit in a dark room and think serious thoughts. Come on people, lighten up!

Re: All this over restoring a steering wheel

No Andy, it's over my discription of the Mars, Pa. Regional. I had a GREAT time at a VERY well run meet. Judged some wonderful Corvettes and enjoyed great comaradarie with others. Without thinking I posted a "standard" joke in saying that the drinks were great and the lap dances hard to beat. This comment angered some of our more conservative members who choose to remain anominous and they complained to the powers that be. I now must refrain from sexual innuendoes and off-the-wall humor! This is NOT however my nature. Too bad some people are thin skinned. Maybe we could rate my posts R, PG-13, etc.

Wow, concerns over lap dances and drinks? I suppose those who expressed these last watched TV when Rob and Laura Petrie were sleeping in separate beds. I'd hate to think what they'd say about Friends or The Simpsons. Get real!

                        Re: No Dale...THANK YOU!

I've only been a visitor to the NDB for a about a month and a NCRS member for even less time. But without hesitation, I can say, I have learned more from your post's regarding C.1's than any other source, I've found, anywhere. It's stuff you can't find in books. And, more often than not, I find myself in the ROTFLMAO position due to your humor! I think you are a great representitive of the NCRS and, it's your attitude that attracted me to this club in the first place. It's too bad some of these people get their pants all bunched up around their nads. One day they will either loosen up or, find comfort bitching amongst themselves, preferably, somewherelse! It would be a shame for you to censor yourself. If it wasn't for you and about a dozen other "knowledgable" people on this board I wouldn't put up with the painfully slow reply times as of late. But, you guys make it worth it!

                        Thanks Rev.

                        With Respect, Ken Karsen
