Sorry for the mixup.
I think I do need to update my email address in my profile.
The reason I wrote is that your thread about A & C Chevy and cadets. Some years ago a friend of mine bought a 64 from the orginal owner here in Phoenix. We took my trailer to haul it home as it had been sitting for years. Talking to the gentleman, he told me he got it when he graduated from West Point. I "think" he said about 300 cadets got new corvettes when he did. Sounds like an awful lot to me and my memory isn't that great anymore so don't if that is true. He saved the car thinking his sons would want it but they had no interest and so decided to sell.
I knew my buddy had paperwork but couldn't remember the dealership.
Yesterday I went over to his house and looked at his papers. Sure enough, it came from A & C Chevrolet on Apr. 15 of 1964. He has the original order form dated Jan.8th and the original invoice on A&C letterhead. The invoice was signed by a Joseph C. who was listed as president. I won't say the last name in case that is the "C" of the A&C and you don't want it known yet.
Just wanted to relay the story. My friend still has the car and was interested to read your story and of course looking forward to the rest.

Interesting coincidence. Yes, Joseph was the father of my friend. And yes, the sales numbers were staggering according to him. He said almost all cadets got a Corvette when they graduated. It must have been a regular event every year.I'm hoping I can get some information soon as I'm eager to write that story. Yes thanks for the confidentiality for now. The name you sent in the email to me is it, slightly misspelled though.

The same thing occurred at the Air Farce Academy. In June 1969 I was in Colorado Springs and happened across a lot full of new 69 Corvettes. I asked about them and was told they were for graduating Cadets.

Does the same thing still happen?

How many of those cars survive?

Very cool photos. Yes He said it was like that t A&C, hundreds! Staggering isn't it. Not sure if it still happens, probably now many other marques as there are so many choices these days.
