I have a 1970 LS5 that I am looking to get the carburetor for. I have found 2, one with a julian of 265 (Sep 22nd) and the other a julian of 365 (Dec 31 1969). My car is a A09 built Jan. 9, 1970 Vin 00504. Which carb should I seek to purchase and why would either date be more advantegeous? Thanks, Greg

Either one should be fine. I would select the one that's in the best overall condition. Don't forget that there are some problems that are difficult or impossible to repair properly. So, you want the best core you can get. Unfortunately, it's usually very difficult to assess the condition for the sort of things that are really important. But, you can get a fairly good read of "what's inside by how they look outside".In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
