I recently purchased a 1972 black convertible that was painted black at the St. Louis assembly plant, I have plenty of factory documentation to show it happened. The trim tag is marked "spec" which is the same for a primer car, the original window sticker shows a $97 charge for special paint, I would like to know if anyone out there has a "documented" non standard color car (1970 thru 1972) that was also painted at the plant? The original owner of this car was a friend of Pete Estes, and Mr. Estes made it happen. Thanks, Jim Wallace
